An academic exercise inspired by UNICEF’s context. No partnership, endorsement or official campaign.
The challenge
Talking about vaccines with respect for the culture of the people receiving the message.
The exercise asked for health communication for a real community. The group chose child vaccination in the Miskito community in Nicaragua and produced every piece in Spanish.
Concept
Each strand, a vaccine. Each bead, a dose.
The dreamcatcher became the campaign’s visual memory. Each strand represents a vaccine and each bead a dose. That way, families follow the schedule with a symbol that’s already part of their tradition.
The motto brings the two ideas together: "El amor por la tradición, comienza por la protección" (love for tradition begins with protection).

Pieces
From the invitation to the vaccination card.
- A folding leaflet with a vaccination card (dose table).
- An invitation and flyer for a fictional vaccination event.
- Six Instagram posts and a profile mockup.

Result
What the project delivered.
- A concept that links health information to a cultural symbol.
- A set of print and digital pieces with the same language.
- Final grade 10/10.
What this case is notIt’s an academic exercise. The campaign was never published. The event, the date and the doctor mentioned in the pieces are fictional, and the pieces are not medical advice. The logos of UNICEF and Nicaragua’s Ministry of Health appear only as part of the exercise.
